The built-in Smartphone/Tablet support in EnCase® Forensic is designed for law enforcement, security analysts, and e-discovery specialists who need to review and forensically collect data from Smartphone and tablet devices, such as iPhone and iPad. Investigators can process and analyze Smartphone data alongside other types of digital evidence within any EnCase® product.
This support enables an investigator to capture evidence from devices that use:
• Apple iOS
• HP Palm OS
• Windows Mobile OS
• Google Android OS
• RIM Blackberry OS
In addition, investigators can acquire data from Blackberry and iTunes backup files as well as a multitude of SD cards. Once acquired, the evidence automatically added to a case for full investigation.
Physical Acquisitions
The Smartphone/Tablet support included in EnCase enables user to acquire deleted information by capturing a physical image of a device. Currently this option is available for devices running Windows Mobile, Palm, or Google Android operating systems.
