EnCase® Neutrino® Mobile Phone Forensics
This course is intended for law enforcement officers, computer forensic examiners, corporate and private investigators. Participants may have minimal computer skills and may be new to the field of mobile phone forensics. Ideally, students should own or have access to EnCase® Forensic and EnCase® Neutrino. This hands-on course addresses the rapidly increasing need for mobile phone seizure and analysis. Mobile devices are an integral part of an ever-increasing number of investigations, and the need to acquire evidence from mobile devices has created new and complex challenges for investigators.
Delivery method: Group-Live. NASBA defined level: basic.
Students will learn the components of the EnCase Neutrino and gain an understanding of the proper handling procedures for mobile phones from the initial seizure to acquisition. During the course the students will progress through the analysis of cell phone artifacts utilizing the EnCase Neutrino and EnCase® Forensic. The topics covered during this two-day introductory course:

Students will learn the history of EnCase Neutrino
Students will be given an overview of mobile phone networks
Students will learn how to identify mobile phones
Students will learn how to work with various service providers
Students will learn proper seizure techniques
Students will be given a detailed understanding of all componets that make up EnCase Neutrino
Students will acquire data from mobile phones
Students will acquire and examine SIM cards
Students will examine the data that they have acquired
Students will learn how to create logical evidence files with EnCase Neutrino
Students will receive an overview of mobile phone data storage
Students will learn how to use conditiona in EnCase Neutrino
Students will learn how to report their findings
