Information Management Four weeks to scan 5,000 computers in 20 different locations worldwide A major software company had contracted to divest a "Sniffer" tool back to the tool's owner. The contractual terms required the company to ensure that none of the tool's source code remained on the computer systems. Guidance Software used EnCase® Enterprise to search 5,000 computers in 20 different locations worldwide in four weeks. Using EnCase® Enterprise, an automated script ran across the network searching for the tool and any of its source code. In all, 105 computers were found to have the target IP.
